Mariejo Constant: Public Health Scholar and Community Leader
A Ph.D. in Public Health dedicated to patient outcomes and equity.
Mariejo Constant holds a Master of Public Health in epidemiology and a Ph.D. in Public Health, two degrees she earned through years of focused work in a field she entered for deeply personal reasons. Watching family members struggle through complex healthcare systems showed her early on how much empathy and clear support matter. That experience shaped her research focus on improving patient outcomes and her drive to mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals.
For over 15 years, Mariejo Constant has served as director of the community food pantry at her church, where she uses her public health background to teach good nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits to her congregation. She also volunteers with a local nonprofit focused on raising reading rates in underserved communities. Balancing those commitments alongside her roles as a mother, wife, and doctor, Mariejo has built a track record grounded in service, scholarship, and a steady commitment to the people around her.
